According to a retired mathematician and a professor/mathematician from the University of Jussieu, the French version of “Scratch and Win” games called Jeux de grattage (Scratch games) in France, are completely rigged; particularly the game called, “Vegas.” The retired engineer/mathematician first performed his own private study to compare whether his results statistically matched the percentage of winners guaranteed. The results didn’t jive. at. all. Not even close. So, he teamed up with the University to launch an official study. 1250 tickets were bought and based on the statistics, the experts conclude that Someone’s got some ‘SPLAINING to dooooo….. The mathematicians are asking players of this Jeu de gratte “Vegas” to sue the scratch game company, La Française des jeux, which I believe is a state-sponsored entity and the very same company that runs the French Lotto. Wanna make a bet that the lotto is rigged too? UPDATE: Part 2 of this report: June 2, 2006, 11:25pm, Channel France 3 [via France 3] |
