I’m surprised that she would announce that intention. It seems like a deliberate slap in the face to the French, not a particularly savvy business move. Why not keep that idea to herself? Odd.

Seriously, it is a rather stupid move by those who hired her. Will she be living in France? Some people have bodyguards; I guess they’ll hire an interpreter to be with her all the time. You’re right; it is pathetic.

it IS strange, isn’t it? i am more shocked about the people who hired her (i’m sure they knew she doesn’t speak french) more so than the fact that she has no intention of learning french. (though that is pathetic)
