The people are more forgiving when I speak Italian and they don't talk so freakin' fast to the point of being incomprehensible 3. They don't have this superior air about themselves that many Parisian emote 3. The people are friendly and the ragazzi italiani are just molto bello (Italian men are so handsome...) 4. I love rennaisance art 5. I love love the Amalfi coast, Toscana is great and the Lombardia region is wonderful. Milano is a bit congested and dirty but can you say fashion? I like to think of Milano as a big city with lots of old world charm. Some of the other towns are worth a look (Bergamo & Como (George Clooney agrees too :)and not congested with tourists so you get a real feel for the Northern Italian culture.
