We’ve been in Bretagne / Brittany (western France) for several days now, so I thought I’d post a quick blog entry while I have a minute. This photo was taken between Cancale and St. Malo along the English Channel. It doesn’t quite do justice to the real beauty that is Bretagne, but that is probably because I need some photography lessons.
Stay tuned…more of Bretagne to come!

Hello
When you got photos like this, i d suggest to try either bracketing or manually change aperture time, and obviously make a few shots with different settings and then pick up the best at home.
Once at home i can suggest you to try to use lightzone, it s free for linux and payware for windows. there must be a way to tweak lightzones in gimp or photoshop, but i d need to find how theses softs have way to much options.
If you got the original photo i can try to do something for you.
note: i am neither a professional photograph nor a specially good one, just i like to tweak photos a bit and takes lot of photos when traveling and at some special occasions.

thanks for the tips, pascal. now, if i could only do something about the weather…
Hey, Cancale and St.malo are NOT on the Atlantic side, they are on the English Channel which we Bretons call “La Manche”. Very different body of water, Emerald colored, and that is why the northern Brittany coast is called “La Cote d’Emeraude”. Most beautiful in the world, if I may say so…
