Maybe they had a valet bike parking at Bercy?
In any case, there is nothing eco friendly if you don't play accoustic...to start with...
I LOVE Radiohead and trust me, anything we can do to become more and more eco friendly is great but you've got start from the source...

i think you're right. it's not very practical to bike to bercy. plus, ppl might not want to leave their bike (or a velib) outside. AND if the bike is still there after the concert, they have to bike home late at night. that doesn't sound very fun.

I was thinking about another thing...
The whole "be eco-friendly when you're going to our concerts" thing from Radiohead is a great idea, but it might have to be adapted depending on where they play.
For example, in the US, you rarely have a choice when you go somewhere, a concert or else, you have to take your car, so yeah carpooling and such are great ideas.
But when they played in Paris, they played in Bercy, which means that the vast majority of the people that went to see them took the subway to go. And Paris's subway is as eco-friendly as a bike, as it generates the power it uses, so why take a bike if you can take the subway?

Still, I don't understand why people didn't rush to get free tickets and this is why the only explanation I can come up with is lack of information (you don't know how pissed I was when I went to buy my tickets and it was sold out).

i was wondering if they'd publicized this enough. i guess they were walking a fine line between a bike mob and nobody showing up - because if too many people knew there'd be free frontrow seats, there'd a bike "bouchon." or something. maybe this is a hoax. i'm not sure but i saw it on aol news.

Is that the real reason?
I would have gone in a heartbeat (walking not biking, it's even more eco-friendly) had I known...
Where was this publicized? Even Radiohead's blog didn't mention it...
