I would LOVE to know if the French actually drink their wine out of plastic. Or do they just think the Japanese and Americans will do this.

I recently went to a design conference where a branding company based in Paris were presenting its latest innovation a supposedly 'eco-concept' called French Rabbit (packaged in tetrapak containers (not very environmentally friendly I thought).

When I asked the person presenting why it was eco-friendly - he said "well you can fit far more flattened tetrapaks in a lorry than you can bottles. (Yes, if people actually save them somewhere, because they can't be recycled, I thought).

Then I asked him about packaging wine, in something that looked like a juice carton. Did he have a problem with that? Given that there are lots of teenagers already binge drinking on alcohol. "It wasn't part of our brief to consider social issues" he said.

Does anyone have a conscience around here, or is it just me?
