I don't want to start an argument, but I do like to discuss things... I hope you will take it that way...
So you think that only the French sell only 'perfect' sized vegetables ? I don't think I have seen more 'perfect' stacks of zucchinis than in the US.. but I might have been shopping in the wrong shops...
Then about the doggie bags. Yes, of course it would make sense... and when asked, many restaurants will supply them. Nevertheless, I may have a solid 'coup de fourchette' but there are few plates I did not manage to empty in France... wehereas in the US, there are only a few I managed to empty, even when very hungry...

Perhaps I wasn't clear. What I meant was that only the French would find odd-shaped veggies unacceptable. However, if you wish to address waste in France, how about all the food that is simply thrown out at restaurants because they give you way more than you can ever hope to finish at one meal? I think it's time for the French to consider the 'doggie bag'.

What is the problem starman ? accepting or refusing strange shape veggies ? I think it is a great news as there was a lot of waste.
Do you think we will have some taste back on day too ?

Ah, a great day for comedy vegetables. In the UK there was once a prime time show with a slot dedicated to strangely-shaped fruit and veg, with bananas that looked like body parts and potatos in the image of cars.

This is especially good news for market traders and small food stores across France I'd have thought
