Palin piégée par un faux Sarkozy / Palin Pranked by a Fake Sarko
Sunday November 02nd 2008, 3:02 am

Two Montreal based comedians with radio station, CKOI 96.9 FM Montreal, totally got a very gullible and giddy, giggling Sarah Palin. A MUST listen. I like how the French describe it, “piégée” (trapped / pranked her) with plain silliness that she basically ignored or didn’t hear. It’s hard to tell.

It is hilarious. Highlights: Marc-Antoine Audette disguised as Sarko tells Palin, “Carla wrote a song about you called, ‘le rouge a levres sur un cochon‘ (lipstick on a pig)” … but tells her it means “Joe the Plumber.” He also mentions that he saw the documentary on her life called, “Hustler’s Nailin’ Pailin” and she says, “Good! Thank you!”

(And people want her to be VP and perhaps P one day? Help us!)

The media is reporting that she took the prank lightly-heartedly but you can hear her away from the phone blurt, “For Christ’s sake, it’s a prank!” She doesn’t sound too thrilled about it to me. Anyway, this was an excellent prank. Chapeau bas , CKOI Montreal.

Listen to the prank

comment chier au bureau
Remember the book, Comment Chier dans le bois (How to Shit in the Woods)? How could you forget? Was camping not your cup of tea? That’s ok because now you can read Comment chier au bureau (How to take a sh*t at work). A quirky, humorous lesson book written anonymously by two office workers. Ok, written by “Mats and Enzo,” which sounds like the names of their dogs or cats. This silly book is 144 pages filled with tips, strategies and rules to respect in the bathroom at work, which can help, in fact, advance employees’ careers!

Comment chier au bureau will be available at amazon.fr on November 10.

Specializing in beef, apparently. How good have we gotten at disassociating the cow from the steak? Very good.

SFR Offers Unlimited MP3 Downloads November 19

From billboard.biz:

“France’s second largest mobile operator SFR has announced the launch of a DRM-free all-you-can-eat download service from Nov. 19.

The catalog is limited to a few thousands hits exclusively from the Universal Music Group catalog. Subscribers will have unlimited access to only one of three genres (Rap/R&B, Pop/Rock, Clubbing/Electro) in AAC format on their mobile and in MP3 on their computer, without any restriction on transferring music to devices, according to SFR.

There are no plans to enable users to access the whole Universal catalog on the service. “[This offer] is a way for us to see how consumers react to DRM-free offers,” explains a spokeswoman at SFR. “We are not giving away Universal’s catalog.”

The offer is part of three SFR mobile subscription plans, which range from €22.90 ($29.16) to €56.90 ($72.47) per month. It is limited offer to 60,000 users overall.

SFR and Universal are launching this service in the context of the “Creation and Internet” law debates, which started on Oct. 29 at the French Senate.

The draft law is largely inspired by the conclusions of a commission led at the end of 2007, which proposed a three-strikes system that would cut off copyright infringers. There were also obligations for the industry, as the commission recommended that the industry remove DRM and interoperability barriers.

In Nov. 2007, SFR had launched an all-you-can-eat permanent music download service featuring DRM.” [source]

Da Vinci Code’s Chateau de Villette is for Sale

chateau de villette

From the luxurypropertyblog:

“A lot of movie fans travel to see the filming site of their favorite flick. And Chateau de Villette is no exception. Many fans of The Da Vinci Code movie starring Tom Hanks have visited this 185 estate about 35 minutes northwest of Paris. It was featured as Sir Leigh Teabing’s home. (Teabing was played by Ian McKellan.)

And it’s for sale for an undisclosed amount.

The main house has eleven bedrooms and bathrooms (with 18 beds and 17 baths total), all of which were remodeled within the last 10 years, according to public information. The Chateau was designed by architect Francois Mansart in 1668 for Louis XIV’s Venetian ambassador. The gardens were designed by Le Notre and spread out behind the home.

Villette is considered on of the most significant historical chateaux in France. It was designed around the same time as Versailles, earning it the nickname “Le Petite Versailles.” The dining room features an original 17th-century carved stone buffet and the limestone entry hall harkens back to the 17th century as well. The gourmet kitchen was installed in 2001. It also has two service kitchens and a banquet room.

And if that’s not enough, it has a gym, billiard room, library, music salon, and a grand staircase. The property also boasts a chapel and reception room for hosting weddings, a greenhouse, and horse stables. Many more modern amenities have been added to the property as well: wireless internet, a swimming pool, a tennis court. It basically has just about everything you could want. Including plenty of privacy. Gee, why didn’t Brad and Angelina just buy it instead of renting someplace else?” [source]
