That would not have happened if bakeries didn’t stop making GOOD baguettes. The banette/festival des pains “crap” killed the french quality of sandwiches .. yummm a cripsy light baguette with chicken , tomatoes and salad and mayo…
Comment by Calimero 03.07.09 @ 1:38 amWe have 3 Subway restaurants in Nice. Actually they opened over a year ago, at the same time. We couldn’t believe it, we were just as excited as when we found a Dunkin Donuts in Krakow, Poland 10 years ago or so.
We went nuts over the plastic bags more than the sandwiches though (the 6-steak sandwiches sold at a local burger joint are more my kind of diet), as they were imported from the US and were not frenchified.
