Every time I go to Paris, it is my intention to ride one of these, but somehow, I never get around to doing it. Of course, it took me ten years to take a bateau mouche.

if you're in the countryside most of the time (like us) being on the top deck can have its shocking pollution hazards but you can see more from up there. thanks for taking the time to read all of that! :D

Thanks for this. My partner and I had a few hours to kill in Paris in May and I wish we had thought to grab a bus to sightsee. We ended up walking around for a couple hours and found ourselves quickly bored by Paris. I'm a medieval art historian and I conduct my research in the Saintonge, so I'm spoiled by the lovely countryside and quiet villages of the southwest-- not such a fan of the big cities. The next time I have a significant layover in Paris, I'll try one of these buses.

(Love your blog, by the way. I treated myself a couple weeks ago to reading all the way back to the beginning)
